Location: Yuncheng City is located in southwestern Shanxi Province, neighboring Linfen and Jincheng within the province. It is separated from Shaanxi Province and Henan Province by the Yellow River.

Physical Features: The southeastern and northwestern areas of Yuncheng are lined with the Zhongtiao Mountain and Emeiling Mountain. Between the two mountains lies the Yuncheng Basin with an average altitude of 350-500 meters (1148-1640 feet). The Yellow River flows along the western and southern edges of the city.

Climate: The city enjoys a temperate continental monsoon climate. Average temperature in the coldest January falls between -1 and 6 degrees centigrade (30.2 and 42.8 degree Fahrenheit), and in the hottest July remains between 24 and 28 degrees centigrade (75.2 and 82.4 degree Fahrenheit). The frost period may last from mid-October to late March. It is torrid in summer and a bit warmer in winter than other cities in Shanxi.

History: Yuncheng is a time-honored city, which is one of the oldest birthplaces of the Chinese nation. Tracks of human life in this area can be traced back to 1.8 million years ago. It was the seat of the capital of the first slave dynasty in Chinese history, Xia Dynasty (21st - 16th century BC). In the Qin Dynasty (221BC-206BC), it was administered under the Hedong Shire. Although administrative divisions in this region altered frequently in the following two thousand-odd years, it was habitually referred to as Hedong, meaning east of the Yellow River.

Here in Yuncheng, you can also feel the modern city full of youth and enormous vitality. From the criss-crossing air route with the highway extending into all directions, from the magnificent Nanfeng Square to the charming, beautiful main streets ,from supporting a comprehensive urban functions to the perfect service ……everywhere appear extremely fresh and charming, and make you surprise, make you moved. 


School

Yuncheng Aston English Training School was established in 2009 Which is located in the center of the city. It is the second Aston school in Shanxi Province. Yuncheng Aston is unanimously recognised as the forerunner in Yuncheng’s English training market because of our full-time foreign teacher, small class and interactive teaching method.

The school is located on the 5th floor, which has 6 classrooms, 1 office, and 1 interview room. We have 5 Chinese staff now, 3 Chiense teachers and 2 front desk staff. We also have 1 foreign teacher every term.


Apartments

The apartments are situated less than 5 minutes walk from the school. The apartments include:

1. A lounge area with 2 sofas, a coffee table, TV and TV unit (cable TV with one English speaking channel – CCTV 9) and CD player.

2. A kitchen area with a table and four chairs, sink, fridge freezer, microwave, 2 ring Lpg gas hob and a single ring induction electric hob.

3. A bathroom with western toilet, sink, electrically heated shower and a washing machine.

4. 3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds and 1 single (which also has a desk). The double bedrooms have storage space and bedside tables.
