Aston English and Aston A+ Training

Aston English

Aston has developed a systematic approach to support teachers through effective training. The core of this training is a two-day initial teacher certification program. This short course will introduce you to Aston's curriculum and teaching approach. Sessions cover language, learning, team work and assessment. You'll also be introduced to our core texts and the educational records you'll have to keep. The course provides you with an opportunity to practice key classroom skills and gain feedback from your trainers and colleagues.

Initial training is followed by a series of in-service workshops, covering such issues as correction, discipline, using listening activities and so on. As an Aston teacher you can also expect on-going coaching and developmental class observations where you'll be provided with constructive feedback to help you gain core skills and make your teaching more effective.

Our training is delivered by managers in smaller schools, and by full-time teacher trainers in larger schools. All people in a training role, whether managers or teacher trainers are selected against a job profile and undertake a range of training programs to qualify for their posts.

Aston A+

Aston A+ has developed a systematic approach to support teachers through effective training. The training is called The Aston A+ Teacher Accreditation Program (A+ TAP). This program uses a range of formats to introduce you to Aston A+'s curriculum and teaching approach. Sessions are a mix of face to face and self study modules. You'll also be introduced to our core texts and the educational records you'll have to keep. The course provides you with an opportunity to practice key classroom skills and gain feedback from your trainers and colleagues.

Initial training is followed by a series of in-service workshops, covering such issues as literacy, vocabulary and classroom techniques. As an Aston A+ teacher you can also expect on-going coaching and developmental class observations where you'll be provided with constructive feedback to help you gain core skills and make your teaching more effective.
