Typically, teachers move into Assistant Manager or Teacher Trainer positions to make full use of the skills they have developed as teachers.   • ASSISTANT MANAGER

There are currently no Assistant Manager positions available for March 2010.

An Assistant Manager's duties include supervising foreign teachers, observing classes, conducting teacher workshops, conducting placement interviews for students (both children and adults), improving teaching resources, developing curricula, teaching, and doing ongoing marketing and sales promotions on behalf of the school.

  • RECRUITMENT OFFICER, Dalian Head Office, Starting May 2010 - applicants under contract may apply on the understanding their school will need to give permission for the transfer.

Working out of Aston Head Office in Dalian and reporting directly to the Recruitment Manager, you will have a chance to work in a challenging environment.

Your duties will include:
*Recruiting teachers to work in Aston
*Maintaining and updating the recruitment database
*Updating the Aston recruiting website
*Finding new channels to market Aston as a place to work
*Co-operating with other organizations to find teachers
*Writing and implementing recruitment training for managers

We are looking for a good communicator who can work on their own initiative to further develop the Recruiting Department. The ideal candidate will:
*Have excellent communication skills (written, Internet, telephone, face to face)
*Be fluent in the MS Office suite (including MS Access)
*Be confident in using the Internet and updating our website
*Have a university degree
*Have 1 year Aston management experience or other relevant educational work experience
*Have experience of different Aston locations
*Some spoken Chinese skills

  • TEACHER/PRESENTER, Aston Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam Aston has a very exciting position open for a teacher to start in November or December this year. The school has managed to successfully arrange its own TV show which features live action with puppets, presenters, and clips from the Aston DVD series which they plan to run four times per month for the indefinite future; and they are now looking for a teacher/presenter.

A successful applicant for this post would be teaching on a 15 hour contract and receiving further payment for the hours relating to the production of the TV show where they would be playing host. The ideal candidate would be both suitable for a teaching position and have the following characteristics for the show: Basic acting ability, singing ability (for preference), charisma and enthusiasm, commitment, and a telegenic appearance. They may also have the opportunity to assist in the writing of the scripts, so experience in this field would be an added strength.
